We encourage all parents, guardians, teachers and administrators to join the the PTO- we are truly unified in our desire to make a measurable difference in our children's education in the Woodstock Public Schools.

 

We serve the K-8 system which includes approximately 498 students in Pre-K through Grade 4 in the Elementary School, and a slightly smaller number of students in the Middle School, Grades 5-8. We focus our efforts on education and social enrichment in the context of the family and school community as well as raise funds to support these efforts.

 

The Woodstock PTO is a non profit organization governed by an Executive Board of Directors and an Executive Committee. All Executive members are volunteers and serve a 2-year term.

 

We meet once a month to take care of business. Everyone is welcome.

The meetings are always held on the 2nd  Wednesday of the month and always in Mrs. Porter's of the Woodstock Elementary School at 7pm. We keep our meetings to one hour. Child care is free and in the room adjacent to the meeting room. Everyone is welcome to attend although all meetings are completely voluntary.

 

The PTO is able to accomplish a tremendous amount of work and good will because of the sustained support of Woodstock parents. The 'committee' structure helps us segment our initiatives and empower a great number of volunteers. However, we encourage anyone with a clever idea, suggestion, or desire to offer skills and talents to step up and tell us what you would like to offer! Our ability to enrich our children's education is limitless if we have energized parents who wish to lead or participate in an activity.
